In the cool of the late afternoon, we’ll take a walk in the
iGwalagwala*
Forest
and get views of
Brown and Red-capped
Robinchat,
Livingstone’s Turaco,
Paradise and
Blue-mantled
Flycatcher,
Woodward’s Batis,
Yellow-spotted
Nicator and others.
We should even get
sightings of

of day.
*The onomatopoeic
Zulu word for the
two local species of
Turaco, both of
which call
similarly.
Day 3:
We’ll set off early
again for a day in
the Park. There are
four main habitat
types in this park;
Dune
Forest on the
eastern side,
grassland
surrounding the lake
and the wetland of
the lake itself and
its immediate
surroundings and
savannah in the
north.
