 Two of our World Heritage Sites, the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park and the uKhahlamba
Drakensburg Park are close by as are the world renowned KwaZulu-Natal game reserves in
which have been recorded some 600 (of our >900) bird species and where the "Big 5" can
also be seen.
We will design tours for groups of any size, but bird tours are most successful with small
groups of up to six (6) persons. This will ensure comfort in our 8-seater vehicles and that
we all have a chance to see each bird sighting.
Bob Rickards, himself an experienced bird guide and naturalist, owns the organisation and
will usually lead the tour. He won't promise that you'll see every bird or animal on your
wish list but he will do his utmost to ensure that you get your money's worth and that your
tour will be safe, comfortable and rewarding.
'BirdsAfrica' are registered with South African Tourism Authority and we are fully compliant
with all the relevant tourism legislation.
